A healthy diet is often associated with a lot of veggies, fruits and something that generally tastes bad. On the other hand, fast food tastes really good, it’s cheap and easy to find. Nowadays, there are food advertisements everywhere you look. On the internet, in the streets and even at your doorstep. So how can someone ignore fast food and focus on eating healthier with ease?
A simple diet strategy
Let’s step back for a brief moment and think about what leads someone to order fast food. It’s either because of the taste or because he is too lazy to prepare something else to eat. The solution is actually pretty simple. To fix this problem and in the meantime improve your diet, you either replace it with a healthy superfood that’s even tastier from fast food or you prepare your meals beforehand.
Healthy and delicious; Breakfast
There are some key superfoods that you can include in your breakfast to boost your energy. This includes berries, walnuts, and cinnamon. You can either make an oatmeal using all of the above or combine them with honey and greek low-fat yogurt.
My personally, I change my breakfast a lot. Currently, I am eating an oatmeal with bananas with cinnamon. It’s extremely tasteful and it fills me with the energy that I need to conquer the day.
Healthy and delicious; Lunch
For lunch, some key superfoods include chicken breast, sweet potatoes, spinach, broccoli, quinoa, and salmon. You can try chicken breast/salmon with quinoa and a spinach broccoli salad. This combines the incredible taste of chicken with the freshness of the salad. A sweet potato salad with spinach and broccoli is also an amazing choice. Combine this diet with your training and you will definitely reach your goals faster!
Healthy and delicious; Snacks
There are a lot of snack suggestions like yogurt with honey, chia seeds, and cinnamon (a personal favorite) or peanut butter banana sandwich or even another salad. Keep in mind that you should eat at least one snack before lunch and another one at night if your goal is to gain weight.
In conclusion
I know that there are a lot of superfoods I didn’t include in my blog post such as coconut milk, onions, avocados etc. I also know that the meals I’m suggesting might be really expensive for some of you and that’s why I’ll try to make a cheaper version of this in the near future! In conclusion, I want you to keep in mind that;
1)If you find junk food delicious, you can now pick something from my suggestions, or
2)If you are too lazy to cook something, prepare your meals beforehand and store them in your fridge for later use. This can be easily done in a day that you have a lot of free time.
